Kapital Bank implements software for payment kiosks from Soft-logic


Pay-logic Payment hub has been implemented in Kapital Bank — the largest bank in Azerbaijan. Customer is represented by a network of 118 branches in 76 settlements, is one of the three leading credit and financial institutions in the country. The implementation of the project took 2 months, taking into account the expansion of the initial functionality at the bank request.

As part of the project for the implementation of the Pay-logic payment hub in Kapital Bank, our specialists have performed:

1. Connection of over 200 service providers through a single customer’s gateway. We additionally transferred to the bank a mechanism for establishing services, which allows Kapital Bank employees to independently connect any suppliers based on payment forms, script templates and receipts, as well as carry out new integrations with new service providers and aggregators, intrabank integrations. Our company also provided the bank with the necessary documentation within the framework of this mechanism and provided online technical support.

2. Development of corporate design of interfaces for information and payment kiosks in accordance with the Kapital Bank requirements. Design was carried out on the customer's side under the supervision of Soft-logic specialists. A large number of non-standard screens have been implemented for solving bank tasks, for example, a screen for selecting and processing bank cards. During the development of the interface, emphasis was placed on universality and the addition of many services in the process of solution improvement.

3. Integration with bank card processing to enable payment by bank cards at kiosks in addition to accepting cash. Payment by card is possible both using a card reader and NFC.

4. Integration with the core banking system for full uploading of transactions according to the configured accounting model on the side of the Payment hub.

5. Complete uploading of data to DWH of the bank for subsequent using in analytical reporting.

6. Integration with the banking system for transferring data on the amount of change when paying at the kiosks and their subsequent accounting. The project uses change cards and transfer of change to another service.

7. Implementation of printing the transaction ID for offline payments. Now, in the event, for example, of a disconnection at the time of making a payment, the client will receive a unique transaction ID on the receipt, as if the payment were being processed online. When the connection will be restored, the operation ID on the kiosk will be synchronized with the copy generated on the server.

The improvement is aimed at increasing customer focus and convenience when payers contacting to the call center in case of disputes with payments.

8. Implementation of the functionality for receiving logs in the back office. Previously, all logs were sent to responsible specialists by email, now a mechanism for sending logs directly to the server with subsequent download in the back office interface is implemented.

9. Deployment of advertising functionality. In addition to standard advertising slots, the developed interface has added display of banners in standby mode with the ability to interact with them.

The most important feature of our software is flexibility and adaptability, which is perfectly demonstrated by Kapital Bank specialists by the example of independent integration of any services and bringing them to devices for payment. The bank implements gateways based on the simplest configs without adding program code, actually, it simply sets up configuration files. This significantly reduces the connection time, the cost of qualified specialists and is extremely convenient for the bank.

Kapital Bank has already launched over 800 payment kiosks within the framework of the project, in the future the network will cover 2000+ devices. Kiosks not only provide the ability to pay for various services — cellular communications, Internet, telephony, utilities, payments to the state budget, but also are a full-fledged window for the implementation of banking services — issuing bank cards, loans, opening deposits, submitting applications for installing POS-terminals.

Solid experience of working with large banks, knowledge of their needs, an impressive set of technologies and tight deadlines for implementation — these are the requirements that were claimed by the customer.
