Smartix ticket system launch announcement


We have developed, making pre production testing and in the near future are ready to launch our own ticket system, which uses our Smartix ticket kiosks as the main sale front. The next step in addition to the kiosks will be the launch of a mobile application and a ticket website.

Ticket operators can use the solution for selling:

  • Tickets with seat selection — suitable for cinemas, theaters, sports venues, arenas.
  • Tickets without a seat selection with free entrance — museums, skating rinks, zoos, dance floors.
  • Tickets without a seat selection with a visit according to a schedule — excursions, cultural and leisure activities, concerts.

Kiosks support display of posters, active offers, data on ticket availability. Bank cards and cash are accepted (if there is a bill acceptor at kiosk), receipts are dispensed. Both simple tickets and tickets on forms of strict accountability are printed using specialized printers.

The process of selling tickets through kiosks is flexibly configured in a single back office for managing the network of devices. The solution includes a separate mobile application for checking and blanking tickets.

In addition to the implementation of kiosks we are also announcing the launch of a mobile application and ticket website for duplicating the functionality of kiosks, with data on tickets, map of available seats and linking of bank cards for cashless payments.

Mobile application for checking and blanking tickets

Our application is used to validate tickets based on QR codes when attending a session or event. An employee with a smartphone needs to choose location, session and they can start scanning and checking tickets bought by visitors.

All data on purchased tickets are synchronized with the server, application receives data online. If necessary, we are ready to develop software for ticket turnstiles.

Back office

Web-oriented application for establishing cultural and leisure facilities, creating events, setting parameters for ticket sales. The system owner creates events and links them to the appropriate site. Then the time of events and the scheme of one or several halls are adjusted. Self-service kiosks (ticket offices) are also added to the system.

Depending on the selected category (cinema, theater, concert, etc.), the type of event (visit/entrance option) for each event you can set the start and end time of ticket sales, the validity period of tickets before the start and before the end of the event, upload an image for poster.

An example of established objects, schedules for each hall and hall layouts. The built-in room editor allows to create and flexibly customize room templates by the solution owner in accordance with the real placement of seats on the site. For each hall it is possible to prohibit the sale of certain places in order to comply with the requirements for the services provision in a pandemic period.

A separate section is used for setting up ticket offices. The box office profile is used to set the geography of ticket sales — only in the location of the installed kiosk (for example, sessions in only three halls in the selected cinema), within the city (all sessions at all facilities, if the kiosk is installed in the mall) or in all locations, if the customer employs a major ticketing network or ticketing site. There is ablility to set the limit of tickets for the operation and the number of future days (starting from today) for which tickets can be sold.

Technical monitoring

The solution supports online monitoring of kiosks and internal equipment, including data on the volume of cash, stocks and imminent end of paper in a thermal printer and ticket forms, communication with the server. All financial transactions are taken into account, there is a system of notifications by SMS or E-mail for the responsible personnel.

The operation of kiosks in offline mode is ensured — accumulation of payment and technical data in case of communication interruptions and their transfer after recovery.

Solution improvement

One of the options for the improvement of our ticket system is the sale of tickets for long-distance buses or trains. Passengers will be able to choose suitable seats through an interactive interface, and pay for tickets in a convenient way. Or confirm a reservation made earlier on the website or in the mobile application and print tickets.
